My name is Justin Jones, I’m a Houston resident and writer for NeuGroup Insights, a weekly corporate treasury and finance newsletter published by NeuGroup. I am also a freelance film writer, and you can find some of my writing by clicking “My Portfolio.”

In previous jobs, I managed social media accounts for the New York City Housing Authority and Austin 3-1-1, a city service in Austin, Texas. I’m a University of Texas alumnus with a Bachelor’s in Journalism with two certificates in Digital Arts & Media and Computational Science & Engineering and a former member of The Austin Film Critics Association (that happens when you move), and I really love two things: writing and movies.

I’ve run day-to-day content posting, finance reporting and video production. At Austin 3-1-1 I produced and co-hosted a monthly update show. In the past, I’ve been a Life & Arts associate editor/film critic for The Daily Texan, UT’s school newspaper. I have sufficient knowledge of programming languages and use code for advanced computations. I also have a strong background shooting and editing documentary shorts, proficient in Apple Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere.
